Victoria University has entered a new phase of student governance following the election of Mugarura Isaiah Ndebwoha as the institution’s 9th Guild President. The election, which concluded after a competitive campaign period, saw Ndebwoha secure a commanding 2,980 votes out of 5,866 total ballots cast, translating to 50.8 percent of the vote.

Official results from the university electoral commission indicate that his closest challenger, Mujungu Marvin Kahuma, received 2,298 votes representing 39.3 percent, while Luweru Ben Kazigo trailed with 588 votes, equivalent to 10.0 percent. The outcome gave Ndebwoha an outright majority victory, eliminating any possibility of a runoff and clearly demonstrating strong student confidence in his leadership.
